“A continuously looping single-channel video, Oscillation, by Perry Chen (New York), is a hypnotizing loop of the documentation of the sudden collapse of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge. Chen is interested in the fear induced by complexity and opacity, and how it easily amplifies in our minds. Oscillation is a rhythmic and frequent state of transition from one point to another, however there is always the transition through the equilibrium point.”
